The hostel in Kuusamo, formerly known as Goiglo, has entered a new era. The hostel was taken over by new entrepreneurs on September 15, 2025, who have since developed the operations purposefully and built a new service concept. Now the hostel is taking a new step, also with its name: Goiglo is now Hostel Aurora.
New entrepreneurs – practical work and warm service
Hostel Aurora's daily operations are managed by Tapio Vekka and Karoliina Frank, who have experience in accommodation and café operations in Hämeenlinna. They have brought with them a wealth of new ideas and practical development proposals that have helped the hostel's operations move forward since they started on September 15, 2025.
Tapio and Karoliina want to create a relaxed, homely and approachable atmosphere in the hostel, where every guest feels welcome. They are responsible for the operational management of the operations and the continuous development of the customer experience.
The hostel's ownership team also includes Teija Vekka-Pirhonen and Mikko Pirhonen, who are involved in developing the hostel and its future.
Together, the team forms a strong and committed group whose goal is to create an easily accessible, affordable, year-round and comfortable accommodation in Kuusamo, surrounded by nature.
